Pilot Buzz – Update 2

Here’s a collection of somethings rumblings I’ve heard the past few days. Again, Nellie Andreeva over at Deadline.com is very good about these pilot buzz collections. Listen to her.

  • Castle is looking to make a move. 10pm on Wednesday for ABC has been a huge pain. I’ve heard from more than one person that ABC is looking to alleviate this issue by moving the solid Castle to the timeslot. This would then allow for a new drama to go behind Dancing with the Stars (maybe Grace, I hear)
  • Georgetown hasn’t screened yet, but is, by most accounts, dead.
  • Locke & Key and Alcatraz aren’t dead yet, but aren’t looking that great. Last night’s Fringe ratings probably didn’t help their chances.
  • Ringer looks like it won’t make it (though it’s not completely dead). The Eye loves SMG, though. Expect her in some more CBS shows.
  • Most of ABC’s bubble shows won’t make it. They love their new development cycle and need all of the room they can get. Sorry V. Body of Proof might get a pity renewal.
  • 17th Precinct is all but dead. NBC is tight locked, but I was told it was “pretentious.” I’ll agree with that, considering the script.
  • ABC’s new comedy block will most likely be on Tuesday, not Friday as earlier speculated. I haven’t heard this, but I’m guessing it’ll be a multi-cam block. I also think that this means the end of Better With You (Friday was the only hope I had for it).
