I’m back… and is Two and a Half Men Done?

Charlie Sheen in March 2009

Hey guys.

After a  hiatus thanks to other events encapsulating my life, I’m back! … with some interesting news.

By now, most of you have heard that Charlie Sheen is having a hard time. And you might have heard Sheen say blast Two and a Half Men showrunner Chuck Lorre in a TMZ interview. You might also have known that Two and a Half Men is currently not in production at the moment but was supposed to resume for another four episodes.

Unfortunately (?), this might be the end for Two and a Half Men. Deadline Hollywood is reporting that both CBS and production company Warner Bros. have pulled the plug on the hit comedy for the rest of the season. Nellie Andreeva also reports that Lorre was part of today’s decision. Is this the end? Two and a Half Men remains one of the top comedies on television right now and has been the rock in CBS’s Monday comedy lineup. While I personally have always felt the show to be creatively void, there are a myriad of people involved with the production of the show who might lose their jobs because of Charlie Sheen’s personal issues. Of course this happens all the time when shows get canceled (or end), but then you can blame Nielsen. Not now.

We’ll keep you updated as more news comes in.
